I want to modify the shape of the T-60's body slightly so that it will be easier to reach those higher notes, so today I'm sanding out the curves where the body meets the neck. I'm using a homemade sanding drum made from a vitamin bottle. I put a hole in the top, attached a mandrel, and put self-stick roll sandpaper 80 grit on the outside of the bottle. I'm using it attached to a hand drill. Even though I didn't get the hole in the exact center of the top of the bottle, it still works reasonably well. After using the drum, I'll sand out the curves with a rising succession of regular sandpapers.
