I started the process of spray-painting the guitar body, first using Castin'Craft Opaque Pigment black mixed with nitro-cellulose lacquer. On this spray setting, with the pressure at about 50 psi, the paint came out in a mist so fine I could hardly see it. I had to touch the areas I'd just sprayed to be sure that they had actually been covered.

Next, I mixed some PearlEx Pigments MacroPearl fine sparkle powder in with the lacquer and sprayed that onto the guitar body. The result is a surface that looks amazingly like Aunt Mozelle's grey Formica kitchen countertop. Interesting...
