Yesterday I cut the body wood away from the guitar neck. Then I built up the wood in the recently cut area so that the body levels out with the existing sealer.

Next I started stripping off the old finish with a heat gun. The old finish bubbles up, and I scrape it off with a putty knife. Little sanding is needed.
