I reinstalled the old pickups. Tonight I set out to replace all pots, wiring, and the pickup switch with new. Everything went fine until I got to the new switch. When buying the replacement switch, I assumed a normal switch would fit; however, of the several new switches I now have, none of them fit into this pickguard because the screw spacing is too long. None of the local music stores have the right size, and Stew-Mac doesn't have this one in their catalogue. In fact, I can't find this size anywhere on the internet. I have a couple of extra pickguards, but they won't fit on this guitar without re-routing around the bridge area. I'm going to need to modify this pickguard to accept a "normal" lever-type pickup switch.
